About the Disclosure application process.

In processing Disclosures we will ensure you get a personal, secure service with quick turn-round times.

We will work closely with you to make sure that the Disclosure Application forms are completed correctly and the necessary identity checks are processed in accordance with the guidelines.

To ensure security we ask you to declare the people who will act as identity checkers.

Then with each form you return to us the checker will sign to confirm they checked it personally.

The Disclosure application process is as follows:

You ask the applicant to fill out the application form and ensure then it is correct

You check the applicant’s identity documents and complete an Identity Checkers Form

You send the application form and Identity Checkers form to us

We check the application form in detail and contact you for clarification or more information.

We send the application form to the CRB

The CRB processes the application which takes between two to four weeks.

The CRB sends the completed Disclosure to us.

We send the Disclosure to you so you can make your employment/volunteer decision.

The important points in processing applications are that, under the Data Protection Act, information on applicants is confidential, should only be discussed by those making employment decisions and then be destroyed once the decision is made.
